At Greenmanjaro, our goal is to create an environment where local leaders can learn, develop, and turn ideas into action. We believe that environmental and social change starts with empowering our local team. Through our Kili Green Empowerment Programme, we invest in the skills, confidence and leadership qualities of the project leaders.
With the generous support of Stichting Pharus, our local project leaders receive a combination of online and in-person coaching in management, reporting and project development. Based at the Kili Green Hub, the programme helps participants strengthen the practical skills they need to lead projects effectively and build sustainable ways of working to create greater impact.

The programme combines Greenmanjaro's local experience with specialist expertise. We are delighted to work alongside our local partner, Unite for Africa Foundation, and European expert Kim Francken.

Student Scholarships
Greenmanjaro currently sponsors two students in their further education, giving them the opportunity to continue their studies and develop the knowledge and skills needed to build a stronger future. Education can open doors, create independence and provide young people with the confidence to pursue meaningful career paths.
Throughout their studies, the students are closely supported and monitored by the Greenmanjaro team to help them stay on track and make the most of this opportunity.

Empowering young mothers
As part of the Kili Green Empowerment Programme, we are also developing a pilot initiative for teenage mothers.
For many young mothers, becoming a parent at an early age can significantly limit access to education, employment and financial independence. We aim to create opportunities for them to gain practical, employable and entrepreneurial skills, helping them generate an income and build a more secure future for themselves and their growing families.
The pilot will focus on equipping young mothers with skills that translate into real economic opportunities, while building confidence and encouraging greater independence.
