Building on the success of last year’s festival, climate education is now reaching schools across the Kilimanjaro Region
We are delighted that the Kili Climate Days have been featured in the Daily News, Tanzania's national newspaper, as part of last year’s festival success.
With the generous support of our Dutch sponsor, Stichting Pharus, and in collaboration with our local partners, Roots & Shoots and Afrisos, we are building on last year’s festival's success by taking the programme directly to schools across the Kilimanjaro Region.
At the heart of Kili Climate Days is our belief that children should be given a voice, a skill, and a story to encourage them to improve their environment.
Inspired by our student book, The Future is in Our Hands, children take part in hands-on climate workshops and storytelling activities that build knowledge, confidence and hope. The events also feature the award-winning environmental documentary The Chameleon Corridors, which encourages young people to take action, care for their environment, and learn how to respond to the challenges of climate change.
Together, we are empowering the next generation to become active guardians of their environment.
