Kili Climate Day comes to Mtakuja School

Delighted to launch our 4th Kili Climate Day at our Green Corridor School in Lower Moshi together with our invaluable partners @rootsandshootstz, @ftkilimanjaro and Mtakuja Secondary School.

The "Kili Climate Day" event brings our successful festival programme directly into schools.

The Kili Climate Day programme brings the energy and educational approach of our festival directly to schools across the Kilimanjaro region. At Mtakuja School, 180 students came together for a day filled with learning, creativity and action.

Together with our partners and volunteers from Roots & Shoots Tanzania and FT Kilimanjaro, and with the support of the dedicated Mtakuja school team, students explored climate change and environmental challenges through hands-on workshops, storytelling, music and dance.

A highlight of the day was the inspiring Chameleon Corridors documentary, which helped students discover the connection between wildlife, habitat loss and the importance of protecting our natural environment. Thank you to Afrisosand the Chameleon Corridors team for making this powerful learning experience possible.

But Kili Climate Day is about more than learning facts. It is about giving young people the confidence to see themselves as part of the solution. Through practical activities and shared experiences, students discovered how small actions at school, at home and within their communities can contribute to a healthier environment.

180 students. One day. Many new Climate Heroes.

And this is just the beginning. With Kili Climate Days, we are taking the lessons, energy and spirit of the festival to more schools giving even more young people the knowledge, hope and inspiration to take action for their future.
